Send Your Kids to Time Out!
Get ready for the BEST. DAY. EVER.
A safe place that puts a smile on your face!
Time Out Entertainment Center opened it’s doors at the beginning of 2023. The owner was boot strapping this start up venture and once he acquired the building, he reached out to us for a quick turn logo. He needed it done in 6 weeks! (gulp)
Thankfully, our team was up for the challenge and inspiration struck quickly for the development of the Time Out brand. We landed on an active concept with the “o” bouncing to it’s final spot supported by a playful bouncing arch that flows throughout the logo.
One of our favorite things about this logo is that hidden within the bouncing arches is a very subtle “A” and “M” - a tribute to the owner’s original company, A&M Amusements.
We wanted to develop a concept that would immediately grab a child’s imagination, but would also resonate with our “mom” audience by feeling modern, welcoming, and safe.

Modern, Clean, Fun
Our target audience was moms with children ages 3-12. Our research showed what is most important to this audience in a children’s entertainment venue is cleanliness and safety.
As we developed logo concepts, we leaned into modern, clean san-serif typefaces and ultimately decided on Raleway for the main typeface. It’s clean, playful lines help to pull it all together.
Fun & Good Vibes
On one of our initial creative intake sessions, the owner said he wanted people to feel beach type vibes when they stepped into Time Out. He even compared it to a city - the city of Miami to be specific.
When we began our visual inventory, we came back to those creative intake notes and started looking at Miami. We were especially fond of a Cuban neighborhood in Miami called “Little Havana”. Similar to Havana, the exteriors of the homes and businesses in this neighborhood are fun, colorful, and inviting. While there are many building colors to be found, the ones that particularly stood out were the orange, teal, blue, and pink houses. We dove into this world of color and never looked back. Not only do the colors give that beach vacation vibe, but they work equally well for boys and girls birthday parties as alternate logo colors.
